VCJGA Introduces the TaylorMade Series for 2009

The VCJGA has launched the TaylorMade Championship series comprised of four tournaments to be played on the region’s top public and private courses.

The TaylorMade Series, is designed North Ranch CC

to challenge the top junior golfers in Southern California. It will

include 36-hole championships at Robinson Ranch GC in Valencia, North Ranch Country Club in Westlake Village (pictured) and the VCJGA Players Championship at Cypress Ridge Golf Course in Arroyo Grande. It will also include a collegiate formatted 54-hole VCJGA County Championship at Wood Ranch Country Club in Simi Valley.

American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) exemptions and performance based entry stars will be awarded to the top finishers in each event and the overall series. July 1 & 2 - Robinson Ranch INFO

Adult/Junior Tournament at Ojai Valley Inn

The VCJGA hosted a fundraiser Adult/Junior Team Tournament at the beautiful and challenging Ojai Valley Inn & Spa on Sunday June 14th. CLICK

VCJGA Joins Youth On Course Program

The VCJGA has teamed up with the SCGA Foundation to certify its members for the Youth on Course program. Through this program, VCJGA members can play golf for $2 or less and hit hit balls for $1 during off-peak hours at selected local golf facilities. For more information go to www.scgafoundation.org.

Holen Advances to US Jr Am

Soule Park Classic Champion JJ Holen earned medalist honors with a two round total of one under 139 at Stanford University Golf Course to advance to the US Junior Amateur Championship. This year's event will be held at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, NJ July 20-25.
