VCJGA MiniTour & Membership
This past season we have seen the VCJGA MiniTour double in size. This has been a great sign for the growth of the game. This season the MiniTour events will be available to register under the same title as the Championship division. We have also increased the number of events available. Because of this the tour has eliminated the MiniTour membership and consolidated it into one "VCJGA Membership". All current members have automatically been moved over into the VCJGA membership without an added payment from the date you originally joined. All new and renewing members can register at the new rate or pay an added fee per event and play as a non-member.

Age Eligibility to compete in a division will be based on the juniors age at the start of the season. This season Starts Sept 9. If a junior is 12 years old on Sept 8th, they can play in the 12U division for the entire season. If a junior wants to play up in division, they can also do that as well. Please contact Tournament Director Zack King at zack@vcjga.com if you are not in the age division that you wish to be in. Please check your profiles before registering for your next event.
Our youngest division will be the combined Boys & Girls 11 & Under division. This division will continue to play 9 holes. We have lowered the entry into the tour to 7 years of age, and we will now allow caddies to be optional for this division to assist with keeping up with the demanding pace of play and scoring. Caddies will not be allowed on the greens to assist with putting. We have also implemented a max 10 rule for this division. the 11 & Under division is designed a fun way to get into tournament golf.
When a junior is ready to compete unassisted and in an 18-hole format they can play in the 12 & Under Boys and Girls divisions. The next step in a junior’s progression. In this division juniors will compete typically at the forward tees. This is still a learning division. They push their own bags and learn more about competing.
The next step in progression members will move to the 14 & Under Division. In this division they now have two ways to play, in an 18-hole 1 day format or in the Championship 14U 36-hole division. For two-day events the 18-hole division will always play during round 1. This option will give those golfers still learning the game an easier 18-hole format and gain the needed experience as they move into high school.
The final step in our program is our Championship Division. The Championship division will compete in a two-day 36-hole format for national ranking points, a spot on the North South Cup Team, multi-day events to put on your golf resumes, and Player of the Year honors. It is our goal to help our members grow to reach the next level. We want and encourage them to play in larger organization events such as the Toyota Tour Cup, USGA events, and AJGA's. The VCJGA is a development and preparation tour for the next level of competition. We want to support our members by preparing them for that stage and nothing prepares golfers for tournament golf like tournament golf.
